Uncover The Enchantment Of Meadow Vista

Try this on for size:  Nearly 4400 square feet of living space in a picturesque mountain setting.  If you seek uncommon beauty and tranquility, then you've hit the jackpot with this one.

Talk about your escape home!  Wow.

Of course, with the price of these estates, you expect some extraordinary amenities, don't you?

Well, not a problem.

For starters, how about a stunning 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones and his son?  It's nearby, and it just might be calling your name.  Even if you don't play, the splendor it brings to the surrounding scenery makes for one pleasant companion.

The course recently garnered rankings of number 13 in California by Golf Digest, and number 18 in the country by Golf Week in its survey of "Best residential Golf Courses".  Not too bad.

As a real estate agent, it was my good fortune to baby-sit the "Lodge View" for an open house over a weekend.  The custom built Tahoe Style residence is part of the Pinnacle Collection at Winchester Country Club, by Meyers homes.  Located in pretty Meadow Vista, it is just a short drive up the interstate from Sacramento.

The spectacular dwelling boasts of 3 spacious bedrooms and a den to go with 3 ½ baths.  Climb a short stairwell upon entering and you find yourself dancing into a marvelous Great Room (and accompanying bar), just primed to fulfill all of your entertaining fantasies.  Shown with a billiard table, it was easy to visualize many a joyful festivity.

The large kitchen is well equipped and ready for whatever culinary delights await.  No one gets short-changed in there.  From the stainless steel GE appliances to the splendid granite counters (even in the utility room) - seriously, how much better could it be?

There is a slight lower "basement" level that includes a bedroom and a den, along with the requisite bathroom (and shower).  As I gazed into these rooms, I allowed my mind to ponder over the best location for my music equipment.  The den even had a fireplace!

A convenient 3-car garage measures with a depth that can easily store a boat, as one guest gleefully pointed out.  More than enough space for all those extra little items -- you know, the ones that seemingly come from nowhere.

The dramatic panoramic view from inside through an array of large windows may be the supreme asset of all.  No matter which direction you face, you are greeted by a blanket of sugar pines, firs, and various other types of vegetation common to a natural setting.  Birds and squirrels are plentiful.  The serenity is impossible to ignore.  Who would want to?

Winchester Country Club conveys the sensation of a destination resort, and indeed, offers many recreational and social possibilities for the members.  You'll find the Swim and Tennis Club (with a junior Olympic pool), biking, hiking, and equestrian trails as just a small part of the package.

When finished, there will be 385 custom estates on lots that range from one to six acres.  No production homes built - and no two are alike.  Many come with all-encompassing views of the Sierra Foothills and the Sacramento Valley.  Privacy is paramount.

Experience the gorgeous serenity of Meadow Vista and the Winchester Country Club.  But be warned - you will most likely get addicted!
