Discover Sedona, Arizona

A Postcard from Sedona, Arizona
The colors of the Sedona landscape make me want to be an artist--you easily understand what inspired Georgia O’Keefe. We took a jeep tour through the desert and made it to the vortexes. What a strange and unmistakably powerful experience. Playing lots of golf and visiting art galleries galore. Looking forward to a relaxing day by the pool. I might even splurge and get a massage!

History
Sedona’s spectacular red rock cliffs are over 300 million years in the making. Formed by geological shifts, volcanic activity, and erosion, these natural landmarks now play host to over 4 million tourists from around the world. But before tourism became the bread-and-butter for Sedona’s economy, residents made their living from fruit growing, particularly apples and peaches, and cattle ranching. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, tourism boomed and ranches and homesteads were sold for new housing developments and shopping centers. Today, Sedona, with its magnificent scenery and accessibility of outdoor activities, lures more and more retirees and artistic and spiritual communities.
