Ketchikan
Ketchikan is your first stop as you travel through Alaska on the Inside Passage. Known as the Salmon Capital of the World, the area offers fishing and hunting experiences beyond compare. Prefer to watch the wildlife? Birders come from all over the world to see majestic Bald Eagles and magnificently tiny hummingbirds. And visitors young and old enjoy the Totem Heritage Museum where thirty-three magnificent, original totem poles from the 19th Century are on display along with other Native Alaskan artifacts. Sightseeing tours are abundant and range from dive trips to amphibious excursions to helicopter trips over the Misty Fjords.
