I'm looking to buy a new home and was told that real estate auctions would be a good way to go. But I don't know anything about auctions. Does anyone have any advice how to start and/or what pitfulls there could be?

I think you have to try with google.there your problem would be solved.

I believe that Google will help you alot in searching for the house you've always wanted. I just hope that I helped in some way.

Here's a great article on buying real estate at foreclosure auction.
It definitely helps to visit a lot of real estate auctions to get a sense for them, and to hold out for a great deal.
